((REMEMBER!! THIS STORY IS NOT CANON. ITS FAN MADE!
fyi for some of the names i made up, theyre not oc's of mine or anyones i think infact. just something for this story. XD))
It was long ago, a bright sunny morning, a little clouds in the south, but still fine. Young boy- Dustin, Lived in a cabin in the middle of millions of abhors of trees, it was the biggest forest in there nation. Dustins Dad had to hunt food for them and all, there cabin however was pretty nice. Two Floors, big Rooms, it was like the perfect cabin. The only problem was, Dustin didnt really have to many friends. Being in the middle of a forest after all, but he atleast had his dad, and he was happy.
One Day, Dustins Dad went out to hunt for food, he searched but he soon heard ruckess, he looked and it was just as usual, animals were fighting for survival, but from what he saw, He saw two dead full grown Baccas on the forest floor dead and mangled of there bodys. The sight was gross what animals usually did to each other, but close by, there was a den. There was and Adult Bacca, it seemed this Bacca had been the one too kill the other two and had eaten them, and now it was attacking the young one. Mustve Been the little ones parents.. Dustins Dad thought. Without Hesitation, Dustins Dad got out some arrows and his bow and head shot the bigger bacca and it fell to the ground dead due to a head shot. Dustins Dad walked out of the bushes and walked into the cave were the little one had been getting attacked. Infact it wasnt just one little one. there were two others, sadly, the other two were dead and the only one alive was the one getting beaten on. This little Bacca was awfully hurt, scratches,bruces, ect. Dustins Dad thought for a moment of a great idea. He picked up the little bacca. How ever the little Bacca did not squirm, and did not panic, the Bacca quite knew this man saved him, the only question he was thinking of where was he taking him?
Dustins dad walked into the cabin again with the little bacca and set the bacca down.
Dustin walked into the room and blinked in surprise "Dad?! why did you bring a wild animal in here- i havent even seen this animal-" Dustin asked. Dustin Dad answered "Well, its called a Bacca. However, i saw this ones family wholey wiped out, i mean- i couldnt just leave it out there alone, and then i thought of an idea. Maybe since well you dont have too many friends out here dustin, maybe this little bacca could be a sort of pet for you." Dustins dad said. Dustin shrugged, he didnt like to think of it as his pet, but as a normal person like they were, all he had to difference was fur, fangs, and wilderness. Dustin went along with it. " Ok dad." Dustins dad blinked "Well? what do you want to name him?" He asked. Dustin thought for a moment. "uhh.. Jerome!"
"Jerome? what kind of a name is tha-" Dustins dad was interrupted "I Like it!" </storng> Dustin protested. Dustins dad shrugged "Okk, fine." He said. Dustin, thrilled hugged Jeorme and Jerome smiled, he liked these new people.
For years, as Dustin and Jerome were growing up, ever since dustin got Jerome, Dustin wanted his dad to think of jerome other then a pet, but as a person just like them. So Dustin made Jerome clothes, he wanted him to be classy for some reason so he made him a tuxedo, black pants, and a red tie. It took a while for Jerome to get used to it, but soon he liked it. Dustin taught Jerome to walk like him instead of crawling, and taught him surprisingly English.
Dustins Dad then accepted him not to be a pet but to be like a best friend to dustin.
Jerome and Dustin did several things together. They explored, played games, and talked to each other like best friends always should.
As i said they both grew up, so now both of them were 16 years old.

((*shrug* i tried to think of a sort of unique way to get his start, if anything jerome is an animal, and he couldnt just learn to be acting like a human automatically, so i worked around that. kind of U:
